  • Audit Logging: Every access point, update, or deletion within a medical record is logged with the staff identifier, date, and time to ensure accountability.
  • Professional Secrecy: All staff accounts are granted under the condition of strict professional secrecy regarding patient data.

3. Data Collection and Usage

We collect information necessary for clinical decision-making, hospital administration, and national health reporting:

  • Personnel Information: Name, professional license numbers, and contact details of healthcare providers.
  • Patient Health Information: Demographics, medical history, vital signs, laboratory results, medications, and clinical notes.
  • Administrative Data: Billing information, shift logs, and facility inventory.

4. Data Sharing & DHIMS2 Integration

EMR Ghana facilitates the synchronization of health data with the **District Health Information Management System (DHIMS2)** as mandated by the Ministry of Health.

  • Anonymized Reporting: Data shared with DHIMS2 for national statistics is aggregated and anonymized. Individual patient identities are protected during this process.
  • No Commercial Sale: We never sell patient or facility data to third-party advertisers or commercial entities.

Your data is hosted on **Google Cloud Infrastructure**, benefiting from world-class multi-layered security. We implement encryption at rest and in transit (SSL/TLS) to prevent unauthorized interception of medical data.
