By accessing or using EMR Ghana, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you are not authorized to use the platform.

2. User Accounts and Responsibilities

Healthcare facilities and their staff are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials.

  • Authorization: Users must only access records for which they have a clear clinical or administrative need.
  • Data Accuracy: Facilities are responsible for the accuracy of clinical entries and patient demographics.
  • Prohibited Actions: Users may not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to data belonging to other facilities.

3. Healthcare Delivery Disclaimer

EMR Ghana is a clinical information management tool designed to assist healthcare professionals. It does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. The final responsibility for patient care, diagnosis, and treatment lies solely with the licensed healthcare professional using the system.

4. DHIMS2 Data Synchronization

Users acknowledge that EMR Ghana is configured to support the District Health Information Management System (DHIMS2) synchronization for mandatory national health reporting in Ghana.

  • Aggregate Data Sharing: De-identified and aggregate statistical data from your facility is shared with DHIMS2 in compliance with Ministry of Health guidelines.
  • Automated Reporting: This synchronization ensures your facility meets its reporting obligations with reduced manual workload.

5. Intellectual Property

The EMR Ghana platform, including its software, design, and clinical workflows, is the intellectual property of EMR Ghana and its licensors.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EMR Ghana shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the platform, including any data loss or clinical misinterpretations.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the regulations of the Ghana Health Service.
